100 cupcakes for School's Canteen Day

This was the most cupcakes I ever baked! 2 baking sessions and 2 hours just to ice them. Threw away a batch of 50 cupcakes coz my oven 'merajuk' by purging smokes.

Sold it for RM2 per cupcake. Business was slow as the folks who went to the canteen day were typical China man - China woman type. (I know I am a Chinese myself). These ppl dont eat cakes - period!

GL said the cupcakes were too beautifully iced and they dont know how to appreciate beauty. LOL

Our main customers were little gals. Whenever I saw little gals or young teenagers (below 14) ... I will call out to them ... good strategy indeed.

All sold out by 11am. Total sales around RM180 coz we gave some discounts... sold some at RM3 for 2 cupcakes. Donated all the $$ to the school.

Thank you Ry & Don for helping mummy. Thank you E for decorating the cupcakes with silver balls. Thank you GL for helping at the canteen day and also for being the first customer.

local fruits

Folks, this is rambutan tree. Took this from Mr. Tan's backyard. He gave me some the other day - the best rambutan so far.... no ants on the rambutans : )

Durians..... what is life without durian. A friend of mine commented on FB the other day that "durian is another great creation by God to show His love for us " and I totally agree with her : )

Mangosteen... not my favourite but the kids love it.

1 day Eating & Shopping

Curry Mee from Air Itam. The aunty is 77 years old this year. We also found out that she took 'pao som' (some chinese herbs) to maintain her beautiful skin - no botox....just 'pao som'. She was very friendly. I am not really a fan of curry mee but for hers.... I drank all the soup : ). It was really good.

This is not coke. It is soya sauce in a coke bottle. So innovative!
This has become the best Chai Tau Kueh in Penang in my list. I am definitely going back for more. It is from a van-stall in from of Lai Lai Air Itam. RM0.80 per pc and worth every cent.

Another good ice kacang and cendol from Lorong Macalister. We love it. Thanks to GL my tour guide for the day. Customer service not so good - the aunty's face was sour all the time and told me not to take picture of her.

Our first 3 layers coffee. Hmmm.... I like it. Different layer gives you different taste. Must try the 3 layers tea next time.
 l
Roti Tuna.

Roti Taiwan - roti benggali with peanut butter. Very good...lots of peanuts.

Compliments to my tour guide GL who took me to all these places. I had a good time eating and shopping!
