moon biscuit @ noordin st

'Tis the season for mooncakes but there is also another type of delicacy which is quite popular this season as well. moon biscuits. there is a shop which i'm pretty fond of that sell these biscuits and it situated in the heart of georgetown. . hock lok siew at noordin st. they specialize in these type of biscuits. actually, my dad goes there and he buys for me.. (thanks dad..) they sell a lot of variety of biscuits but I only like the plain moon biscuit and the red bean moon biscuit. They are pretty popular . the plain moon biscuit is actuallyfilled with lotus paste. The coconut just doesn't do it for me and the "real" plain variety is basically without filling. i always find them a bit too dry. red bean moon biscuit i love the red bean paste. The outer crust is quite soft and not dry/brittle. its not really moist. just nice. BUT a bit oily though. 8/10

Plain moon biscuit same crust as the red bean but filled with lotus paste that is Sweet with a slight tinge of saltiness. 7/10 , because i like the red bean better.
