Jelly - one of the best

My neigbour is the "Mistress of Jelly". She can make beautiful and yummy jelly. From Koniyaku to Angku jelly, you named it... she can make it. She is creative too. Heheheh we are fortunate to be her neighbour....get to enjoy those delicious jellies.
The green color stuff is actually 'cendol'. Very creative of her to use cendol. I finished half of it 5 minutes.

Jawa Mee

Had this Jawa Mee last week at Northam Beach Cafe. RM4 per plate. We think it is over priced. Maybe it is meant for tourists. So so nia. I still think that the best jawa mee is at Tmn Inderawasih (Prai lah...).

Chocolate Cake Again

I just baked a chocolate cake using canola oil instead of butter. I hope it turns out good. It is still in the oven baking. I prefer using oil as it is cleaner and the untensils are easier to clean. The downside is that butter gives better aroma. Normally I can smell the cake while it is baking however I cant smell anything right now (the cake is going to be done in another 10 mins).

Tesco Instant Cofffee & Mayonaise

Who would have thought that Tesco Instant Coffee is as good as any other leading brands in the market and I think it is better. Clarification,  …. I am not doing any promotion for Tesco.

It is cheaper too. Bought it for RM12 plus. There is a label stated “Exclusively from Tesco UK for You & Your Family. It is also produced and packed in UK.

One thing that we noticed is that anything that stated from Tesco UK is of good quality.

I normally purchase Kraft’s mayo but decided to go for a change 2 months ago and bought Tesco’s mayo. No regrets and not to mention it is cheaper too.

No updates

I have been extremely busy with work for the past 2 weeks and came home dead tired (which means I sleep by 10pm) hence I dont have the time to cook or bake anything, which translates to no new update. Hope things will get better next week. I still have to bake the perfect Chiffon Cake :)

Attempts at Pandan Chiffon Cake

The one that looked like Pandan Bengali Roti instead of chiffon cake was my 1st attempt. Teruk huh. 2nd attempt was much better, at least it looked like chiffon cake.
Sigh... how to bake one like the one sold at the bakery? Apalah dia orang guna? Apa rahsia?
I hope to get it right at 3rd attempt. Pity hubby and frens who are my taster.

Cream Puffs with Chocolate Glaze

Made this for my family during our 'cheng beng' gathering last week. Glad that they loved it. All I did was pipe some chocolate glaze on top of the cream puffs. I find that piping the choc glaze is less messy and easier. Not sure how others do it.
Chocolate Glaze Recipe:
1/3 cup heavy cream
3½ oz chocolate chips
4 tablespoon unsalted butter
7 tbsp Hershey Chocolate Syrup
Bring the cream to boil and remove pan. Add in chop chips and followed by butter. Stir gently with wooden spoon. Pour in the syrup.
