100 cupcakes for School's Canteen Day

This was the most cupcakes I ever baked! 2 baking sessions and 2 hours just to ice them. Threw away a batch of 50 cupcakes coz my oven 'merajuk' by purging smokes.

Sold it for RM2 per cupcake. Business was slow as the folks who went to the canteen day were typical China man - China woman type. (I know I am a Chinese myself). These ppl dont eat cakes - period!

GL said the cupcakes were too beautifully iced and they dont know how to appreciate beauty. LOL

Our main customers were little gals. Whenever I saw little gals or young teenagers (below 14) ... I will call out to them ... good strategy indeed.

All sold out by 11am. Total sales around RM180 coz we gave some discounts... sold some at RM3 for 2 cupcakes. Donated all the $$ to the school.

Thank you Ry & Don for helping mummy. Thank you E for decorating the cupcakes with silver balls. Thank you GL for helping at the canteen day and also for being the first customer.

Lok Lok

this is lok lok from Pulau Tikus (minus the yellow scientific torch light ... that is if you can spot it : ))
i rated it 6/10.

i still think the best lok lok is from Malacca.... they call it luk luk where we dip the food into a pot of hot satay gravy. heaven!
